| Bio: | I am a college freshman, currently attending school at North Harris College. I'm a bit undecided as to what I want to study, but right now I'm working on my Associate of Arts with an Area of Concentration in International Studies. In about two years, I plan on transferring to a four-year college or university. Which one depends on what I decide to study. In this journal you will mostly find my rants and raves. Occasionally I'll post some of my prose or poetry or even some photographs. Mostly it's just about my days, something that I don't think many people would be interested in reading about, but there are always little surprises that sneak up on us. I tend to pimp my dear friend and aspiring starlet ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif){kind=small} naive_wanderer. She's very talented; she can sing, act, draw...she's very nice and creative, not stuck up like many talented people are. I will also mention my favorite webcomic, MegaTokyo. I think it's really funny and sweet: not a history-changing piece, but certainly entertaining. I'll also post the occasional YouTube video, usually AMV's or music videos that I particularly like or seem to fit into the "tone" of my life at the moment.My journal isn't friend-locked. I've considered doing so in the past, but I've decided that for now it does little or no harm having all of my thoughts open to the world. It actually causes me to stop and think about what I'm putting down, because you never do know who could be reading what you write. ♠ The title of my journal is derived from Scott Westerfeld's book Extras, the fourth book in his Uglies Series. The quote is as follows: "It is hard at first, I know. But I learned from Young Blood that the world has no edge, no end. You must learn to see beyond the little men."
